Support teams and IT managers can provide real-time support to their mobile workers in the field.
This can range from supporting technical issues to providing training, consultation or supporting devices used at the Store Front or static POS devices.
Remote users can only access the specific Enterprise app, there is not unlimited access to the iOS device, or confidential data on the device.
The device owner controls access to the device by granting remote access and may see who and when someone is connected.
Remote sessions are suspended when the app is in the background.
Remote access to the iOS device is made from a web browser, enabling remote access from any computer or any device with a web browser installed. This makes deployment quick, simple and cost effective, with access to the web app via secure URL.
All communication sessions between the server, web app and Enterprise app are encrypted to ensure the integrity of company network and confidential corporate data.
Remote support users may only access devices belonging to groups assigned to them and device users may control when access is granted.
The SDK is a library which may be added to an internally developed Enterprise app to enable Remote Control functionality for that application only. It does not allow general remote control of the iOS device.
The SDK also adds settings to the app, whereby authenticated data is added and enabled the device to be registered on the server and assigned to a support group.
The server enables and manages all communication sessions between the iOS application and the Web console. Communications may be encrypted with SSL and administrators may set the communication ports to fit internal security protocols. The server may be installed on Windows, Linux and OS X.
This allows the 'Super' administrator to create support users, device groups based on internal categories such as department, region, country etc. and associating these groups to support users.
The web console may be launched securely from any web browser and is used to initiate remote control sessions to RiOS enabled enterprise apps.
The system user will see support groups assigned to him/her and the iOS devices assigned to each group.
The console user may open multiple secure remote control sessions.
